I am pleased to be able to tell you that Lumen Christi Ministry is alive and flourishing. This past year has taken us to parishes in Saginaw, MI, Downers Grove, IL, Plainfield, WI, and a variety of Milwaukee churches and events. We had the opportunity to expand our parish connections at the annual NPM convention held this year in Connecticut; and our music was enthusiastically embraced by the Catholic churches in Canada who were able to experience our music at one of their workshops in Toronto. It truly seems as though the doors are opening to allow us to bring Christ’s light into our world through the original, liturgical music Lumen Christi Ministry has to offer.
As we move forward into a new year of prayer and praise, planning is underway to begin recording the newest collection of music by our composer, Terry Piontkowski. This latest collection (our 6th) will again feature a variety of faith-inspired songs that will enliven listeners and promote enthusiastic parishioner participation in liturgies. Once the recording is completed, this newest collection will be shared, through our unique concert style, with parish communities and community outreach projects.
Our fundraising campaign this year is aimed at expanding our mission into new communities, and bringing fresh music to old friends. We are a non-profit group, solely relying on the generosity of our donors and the hard work of our volunteer members to grow and continue to bring beautiful music to a broader faith family. We ask that you prayerfully consider donating to Lumen Christi Ministry, Inc. A donation of as little as $25.00 will make a difference in our ability to continue as a vibrant resource for the church of Milwaukee and the world at large.
